Inspiring Leadership in Turbulent Times

A unique and thought-provoking session for business leaders in 2011

In today's turbulent world, recognising and leading change has never been so vital, and it is our belief that leaders achieve sustainable change through their own inspiring leadership.

Hear, first-hand, how one such inspiring leader led his team to success in the dynamic and unpredictable environment of the BT Global Challenge Round the World Yacht Race.

In a gruelling 10 month race around the planet, Mark Denton, skipper of BP Explorer, competed against  11 teams in identical yachts.  His incredible story highlights the challenges of his leadership journey; reflecting the highs of success and the lows of despair as he nurtured his team, prepared them to face the unknown and dealt with the physical and emotional setbacks along the way.

Analysis and discussion of Mark's leadership approach is led by Andrea Bacon, Research Director of Inspiring Performance.  Andrea's fascinating findings, from research conducted with Henley Management College during this race, provide a clear indication of the attributes required by our leaders in times of change and uncertainty. This event provides an intimate setting to share, discuss and network with other business leaders.
