While the concept of Emotional Intelligence is now widely acknowledged, it is only recently that organisations have started to address the challenge of developing EI within their leaders.

Mastering your Emotional Intelligence is specifically designed for business leaders and L&D practitioners who wish to master thier own EI in order to influence their organisations approach to business in the 21st century.

Through this programme, participants begin their personal journey; assessing and developing their own levels of emotional intelligence and creating their personal leadership style and culture.

Knowledge and experience gained enables participants to better position EI within their own organisation, assess the EI culture and ensure it is embraced in a manner appropriate for its needs.

Format

The modular format of this programme brings participants together 4 times throughout 2011 at six weekly intervals, allowing individuals time to assess and adopt any behavioural changes they choose to make.

  • An initial introductory session allows participants from a range of business sectors to meet and share their own aspirations.

  • A 360 degree EI diagnostic precedes the first workshop and 1:1 feedback helps to identify a specific development path.

  • Dates and venue for four full day workshops are agreed, and each module adopts a different approach, which ensures all learning preferences are considered.

  • Workshops includes powerful learning and colourful ancedotes to illustrate Inspiring Performance's (IP) findings; day-to-day scenarios brought to life through drama; practical tools and techniques for personal development; sharing of views and experiences among participants; thoughts and ideas from a topical guest speaker; hands-on involvement in a Shelter for Homeless & Vulnerable People.

  • Each participant is assigned a dedicated Inspiring Performance coach to help them think, feel and act differently.

  • At the end of the programme, qualitative data enables participants to assess the impact their behavioural changes have had on others.

  • The programme brings together like-minded people and creates an energised and supportive network for the future.

  • Individuals develop a better understanding of self and how to engage others: they are more in tune with how they think, feel and act.

  • Increased knowledge and first-hand experience of developing EI gives participants the confidence and inspiration to coach and develop others.

  • With a deeper understanding of emotional intelligence, participants are able to actively influence the development of their leaders and the culture of their organisation.
